Review on πŸ”§ IVY Classic 04105 - 64" Length with 135Β° Angle by Martin Alvarez

Ivy sees you again.

I have had other "low price, high quality" bits that I found at Revain and they had many positive reviews. I figured her complete inability to get to the bottom of things was my inexperience or stupidity. After realizing it was those other "cobalt" bits when IA/B tested some really old titanium coated bits I had lying around, I brought back the junk and found this pack of Ivy bits. These real cobalt bits went to work instantly, no pressure or other methods required. True carbide can gradually penetrate the hardest steels. I advise other hobbyists working with really hard, specially machined metals/materials to first clean their drill bits with acetone or 90+% isopropyl alcohol and then coat the tips with a good quality molybdenum spray. Then wet the drill and the penetration point with good cutting oil(s). I used a drill press and went through super hardened steel - everything went very smoothly (but slowly) with these bits.
