shredder no - document shredder

Should this document shredder shred 14 sheets of paper? I shredded the paper and it got stuck a few times and eventually stopped and I couldn't turn it on, it might have been a temperature issue, I couldn't find anything in the documentation to fix this. Reverse didn't work because the switch wasn't supplying power, and yes it was on when I tried it. I tried to dig it up carefully, but if I did it would help. Wasted time and money. I threw it in the trash.
