These clips have worked really well for me to keep my phone, iPad, Kindle etc charging cables organized and accessible to charge them connect device. But in one instance, I attached a clip to the side of a nearby bookshelf, routed the cords through to charge my Kindle and phone, and then over the devices on my bedside table near the attachment point. It works, but the clip keeps trying to detach from the attachment point, apparently under the weight of the cords. I still use it but expect the adhesive backing to fail completely at some point.
