I work in a noisy environment and don't like in-ear headphones. I use in-ear headphones with excellent sound isolation and the Sansa Clip Sport just doesn't put out as much volume as its predecessor, the Clip+, and yes I use PC software to increase the volume (MP3 Volumer). I like listening to audiobooks while I work, and again, the Sansa Sport doesn't quite do as well as the clip + positioning speed (back and forth). It's a lot slower with sports, and if you've got a 40-hour audiobook you'd rather fast-forward in hours and minutes than minutes and seconds if you lose your seat, which can happen. It's a good MP3 player, just not for me. If you need an audio book player I wouldn't recommend this one, but the Sansa Clip+ is very good.
