Review on Voovix Minimalist Barefoot Cross Trainer: Lightweight and Comfortable Running Shoe by Kendriece Figueroa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent shoe, fits as expected, good grip on wet grass - currently

I bought these after sending back a similar pair (from "WHITIN"). They are very comfortable and the tread design seems to work to keep me upright on wet grass (so far). Inside the boot there is only a slightly rough spot where the tongue attaches, but that doesn't cause me any discomfort when using the shoe barefoot or with socks. While I love these shoes, they don't feel as light as some of the others I've tried, but they also protect my feet better. The insole is a bit thicker than I would like, which might be a downside for some, but for me it's still tolerable, so I haven't tried wearing them without insoles. The only downside so far is that the tip of the elastic broke from the piece it was sewn to on my first run with them. I just tied it up and had no problem but for the price it's a minor flaw and I don't plan on returning them because of it. A better design of this part would have helped though. The size seems normal, maybe a little smaller than I expected but in my case not enough to increase or decrease the size.

Pros
  • REMOVABLE The insoles on our trail running shoes are thick and provide arch support. They can provide cushioning and don't cause too much pressure.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
