This is perfect for my 5lb Yorkie. I have a bad back and a Yorkie who doesn't like to travel. Because the bag is so deep, she feels completely safe in it. If it had a clip it would be fine but I had to do it myself because otherwise I would still have to use a hand to make sure it stayed in place. I've looked at many of them. It's like the best price with a deep pocket. The material is not too heavy. So I didn't fully fry in Arizona when I used it. But that's no good for hot weather - you and your dog can melt! But for everything else it's great. I've even tried my 9 pound Chinese hair in it. She lay down and fell asleep!
