I really wanted to love this manual citrus juicer. It's so simple and beautiful. I like that it's cast iron - nice and heavy. But it's covered all over, and I've noticed that the coating is slowly coming off. and breaks down into freshly squeezed juice! Now I definitely don't want to swallow the toxic coating, so I strain it first through a sieve and then through cheesecloth to make sure the coating doesn't seep through. A little disappointing. Also, I really wanted some pulp in the juice, but definitely not full of skin. The main downside is that I would have liked this press to be smooth cast iron with no coating. Coating issues aside, the juicer is fairly easy to use, although you'll need a bit of muscle power to squeeze the fruit, and there's a fair amount of unjuiced fruit that can then be easily hand-squeezed to get more juice. Then it loses some of its meaning. The juicer is easy to disassemble and clean. I probably wouldn't buy it again, but I'd definitely be happier if it was uncoated.
