Have been using the filter for about a week. Love it, great price and from what I can tell it does the job well. Only 1 problem: the rubber filter seals on both ends are not compatible with the ECOSOFT model water filter unit. It's leaking! I've tried and tried. Used filter wrench, disassembled and reassembled several times, checked filters, etc. The only thing that I've found that helps with your current Ecosoft model is reusing the upper and lower Ecosoft gaskets. Ecosoft pads are "slightly" different in that they are slightly softer and thicker. No big deal, it's quick and easy, the Ecosoft pads look like they'll last a few years, and the pads are super easy to replace. UPDATE: with Pro Tips!1. If you have a cylinder block you can use its socket to hold the oval base when assembling the block. Taking off and putting on the top is much easier and less tiring. If the seal doesn't work. You can always make your own. I had to do that. I used the USDA/FDA approved RTV 4500 silicone pad maker to replace the pads that were still leaking. It took about a day to heal. So far I've been able to reuse it once, but I haven't replaced it a second time. I used the product below.
