Requires 12 volt charger, charger not included. Very thin, you can feel every (rather large) box that needs to be heated/massaged. Even my dog and cats didn't like it and they always steal my heating pads/massage pads. The stuff is weird. Slippery and irritating at the same time. You get burning hotspots where the little heaters are. Heat is distributed unevenly.
