This is a very good roller massager for hot or cold therapy. It spins freely and massages trigger points well. The bullet itself is about 2.5 inches in diameter and is made of stainless steel with a gel core inside. It's very durable and a good weight, although not as heavy as similar rollerball pens I've tried before. Ball in the freezer for a couple of hours and stay cool for a good hour or so. This is more than enough for one cold therapy session. Haven't tried it for heat therapy yet, but the only way to heat it up is by immersing it in hot water. You may need to repeatedly place it in freshly boiled water depending on how hot you want it The ball simply snaps into the base of the holder, the ball pulls out just as easily. The base is one piece of polypropylene with two side tabs to keep the ball in place. It's quite sturdy and feels solid. The colorful branded band is just a rubber band that fits snugly into the base. This helps with a firm grip. The base also has a hole at the bottom for condensate drainage. Overall I am very happy with this roller massager. It's a good size and works well. The price is also quite reasonable. It's worth trying. It does the job.
