Review on 🔒 Enhanced Manual Tailgate Lock - Pop & Lock PL3300 for Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500 in Black by Craig Kumar

Received in a reasonable time. The instructions were pretty easy. I used a cut zip tie to pull out the lower fairing insert and it came out easily. I loosened the three screws on the tailgate latch and removed the bottom one per the instructions. Insert the pop and lock and use the included screw to secure it. I left everything a bit loose and pushed in the bottom latch trim as it wouldn't fit when the screws were tightened as it needs some room to slide past the latch. Once the striker plate was in place, I adjusted the Pop&Lock and tailgate handles to line them up, then tightened two latch bolts and one Pop&Lock bolt. Checked the key and it locked the handle. Tailgate unlocked and closed. When I opened the tailgate, the handle was stuck. The handle hooks onto the latch at the top. I've tried everything to get them to line up, but no luck. I even loosened the nut holding the pop & lock cylinder to try and adjust the washer under the lock cylinder. I didn't want to sand the top of the Pop & Lock clamp or the plastic clamp, but that might work. I tried locking and unlocking the Pop & Lock and it locked the handle but had the same issue of the handle sticking open. If the handle is stuck in the open position, the only way to get it out is to hit the handle firmly with your hand. Nothing my wife would like to do. The original mechanism works well without the Pop&Lock. Basically I tried everything I could think of to get the product working but no joy. I am disappointed and frustrated. I'm just glad the garage didn't do this and charged the shop because I wasted quite a bit of time with this issue. My wife often says I'm like a dog with a bone, I have a problem. So I went back to the stock setting without blocking.
