Am I a professional table tennis player, no. Did I spend countless hours of my college years playing ping pong in the rec room of the dormitory, yes. So I play in any current leagues or tournaments, no. Does every family holiday and party at my house turn into an unofficial ping pong tournament, yes. And when I play it is normally with the old beat up set that came with the table when it was bought. This is my first chance to have a really good racket and I am impressed. The flared handle lets it fit just right in my hand (And I have big hands) and the rubber is great, allowing me to put some wicked spin on the ball when I need to. And I play a bit more of an offensive game so the 2mm soft sponge is great as I like to really slam it sometimes. Over all a really great racket, I know it is not as nice as some of the pro models out there, but if you take the game seriously, and you want a little edge, this maybe be the racket/paddle you are looking for.
