We bought this for a long trip to use with many electronic devices (iPad, cell phones, switch). It appears well made, if significantly overpriced for mediocre craftsmanship (the USB upstream ports don't match the adapter, so we have to plug them in - cheaply done). While it's really easy to set up, my kids complained almost immediately that the long arm shook the screen so much when the car was going. Because the metal bar is quite small, long, and not sufficiently stabilized, there is a lot of movement when pulled towards the center of the vehicle, which is not good. Yesterday on our first test run, it worked fine (despite some wobbling) for watching a movie on an iPad. We fixed it in the mount as tightly as we could, and it seems to be holding up pretty well. Then, about two hours later, my iPad suddenly fell out and hit the floor of the car. Well I have to say I was very upset. Not sure if it was too heavy or if the springs just wore out, but I'm glad we used my old iPad and not something more expensive. We'll try again (with a pillow to be on the safe side!) and report on the operation.
