Last year I had surgery on both wrists to free the carpal tunnel. I already had weakness in my arms before the surgery, but after the surgery, during the healing process, I found I couldn't even open a water bottle. I've seen it, I've tried it. Not only did it help me, I bought it for a friend who has rheumatoid arthritis and recommended it to another stranger who was having trouble opening bottles. I attached mine to the badge spool and attached the badge spool to one of the zippered pockets in my bag. Whenever I need to open a bottle, I just pull out the GripAssist, open the bottle and the ID roll pulls it back into my pocket.
