I've always been the guy to set up a smoothie blender until I accidentally bought this unit thinking it was the guy. received this device. First, the color is adorable, bold and fun. Second, the amount of air left in the bowl after the ingredients are added REALLY helps mix everything together and create a well-blended mixture. Haven't tried it for salsa yet, but it brings my breakfast smoothies together in a way I've always wanted from other machines. Finally, be aware the blade is SHARP, for example sending me to the ER for three stitches when I abruptly cut myself while cleaning. However, a clever solution to this is when you're done with your stuff, throw some dish soap and water in that 1/4 part and then mix it in and it cleans the whole thing damn good, and that's a no-touch blade wash! What I don't quite like is the handle of the engine part, I always feel like I'll drop it. So the company could do a product update that includes a grip texture or even a grip lip. In any case, an absolutely worthwhile investment.
