I'll start by saying that for a slightly lower price I highly recommend it. Since the Galaxy Buds+ are only $15 more, I'd just save up. The current price is too close to get premium buds. When that's done, let's move on to verification. The headphones come in what I would call a large case. Not as big as some Sony headphones, but not as small and compact as Galaxy Buds, AirPods or Pixel Buds. The saving grace for the size, however, is that it has a port for charging your phone. The size is actually used with a large battery that charges the earbuds multiple times (about 20 full charges I think) or you can bring your phone back from a dead battery. The case itself charges via USB Type-C or wirelessly. The earphones are light and fit well in the ears. They stayed put during the headshake test and didn't get lost on jumps. Every ear is different, mine is small. I usually use small earbuds and small wings on my Galaxy Buds. Normally I can only wear headphones with wings. I am happy to report that they have stayed very well. I still wish I could add wing support but that was fine. The earbuds have a light ring around the button, luckily the light turns off when the earbuds are in use. They only turn on to indicate pairing and charging. After pairing you are done. Application support and sound. Unfortunately there isn't an app for headphones so you'll have to do the EQ on your device. The good news is that the sound signature is fairly neutral with a slight emphasis on bass. They sound clear and, despite the lack of noise cancellation, can get loud enough to drown out outside noise. The customizable in-app equalizer allows you to tweak the sound to your liking as it does a pretty good equalization job. I would say the soundstage is average. It's not wide surround sound, but it's difficult to achieve with headphones so close to the eardrum. Battery life: The battery is designed for 11 hours. I haven't fully tested this. But I used them for a whole day without putting them back in the case and they still had a charge. Not very scientific, I know, but your average consumer doesn't think of it as a stopwatch. They want to know "can I spend a day at school/work with one in my ear and still listen to enough music on the way home" and the answer is yes. Connectivity: The connection was good. I have a Galaxy Note 9 and had a few passes when I went outside. I logged out again and couldn't play it no matter where my phone was. I tried both the front pockets and the back pocket to see if I could get it to skip. It just happened by accident. However, there were absolutely no crashes on my Galaxy S9+. The omissions may be my Note 9's fault. I can't tell either, so I'll just leave that info there. Controls: The headphones use physical controls, so you have to press the buttons. I'm not a fan of it anymore because you have to put the headphones in your ear to register a click. The benefit of this design is that you won't get accidental clicks just by touching the earbuds. The keyboard shortcuts to access the features are quite simple. Bottom line: I think if they dropped another $15 or $20 they would be perfect and would get my approval no matter the price. However, at its current price of $85, it's just too close to other Erbuds in the $100 range that sound better, have an app, and have more features (noise cancellation, ambient noise mode). I still think they're great, and hey, if $15 is enough to sway you, go get them; You will not be disappointed.
