. I've tried many landlines and I have to say this simple phone is perfect. Great sound and ergonomics too, well made: sits nicely "on the head" if like me you want to be hands-free for multitasking; And it comes with a nice long cord. I like that the end button and dialer are on the headset so you can make multiple calls without being close to the handset. The ring is not bad. The voice on the other end of the line is loud and clear even at low volume. My kids are learning to use it - it's a healthier alternative to cell phones as it's safe from electromagnetic fields. If you're looking for a good phone with reasonable features and don't care for all the gimmicks of a big office phone, this is for you!
