The device itself is powerful. Although it's a bit loud, it doesn't bother me and I prefer some white noise to drown out the sounds of other people going in and out of my apartment building. However, the window kit is incredibly thin. It keeps falling on my window (highly recommend screwing it in and getting some tape) and the hose won't stay in place with the plastic part that goes in the window. It was also difficult to connect the hose to the part that attaches to the air conditioner. I ended up getting another window kit as I have a cat and I am concerned that the window kit that came with the kit will fall and my cat will come off the block. So far I haven't used it because I'm waiting for the new Windows parts to be installed, but I activated it once when I first got it and it's very powerful.
