When I needed to move my router to the next room, I bought this kit and a short ethernet cable to keep it looking professional. Installation was very easy. I just made a hole in both walls big enough for the ethernet jacks in this kit. (Actually, I used a large screwdriver to poke a hole in the drywall.) I didn't exactly line up the holes in case the space between the walls was too tight, but that wasn't a problem. Then I pushed the cable through and connected it to outlets and wall panels. I forgot to order drywall anchors for the wall panel screws, but I just drilled a small pilot hole and used the screws provided and it held up well. . I suggest using a level before making any holes. What looks straight when you attach the wall panels may not look very straight when you step back and look at your finished work. I still had my full 500Mbps internet connection. The cable I used between the wall plates, as well as the cables from the original ethernet port in the wall and to the router were CAT7 cables, but I don't think that's the case is really important.
