We carry our son in these sleeping bags at night to keep him from catching a cold (he's not doing very well under the traditional blanket yet). But we recently learned that keeping him in a sleeping bag has an added benefit: he can't get out of his crib. He can walk in it. (He'll definitely win potato sack races later!) He can stand and move around in it with ease. But he can't get up. Most of our friends had to put their babies in cribs, but not us. Research I've read shows that kids aren't ready for the invisible confines of a large crib until they're almost three years old, so we're grateful these sleeping bags made us feel a little better when he's in the cradle lies until he is older.
