Review on Nike Women's Competition Running Shoes, Size 10 by Brian Elliott

I liked the look of these shoes so much that I ordered 2 pairs. Ran a short treadmill, felt good and looked way better than the new ZF3. However, after running it on the street (a week before the Philadelphia marathon), my knee started to hurt and become infected. I've been running for 20 years (cross country and track in high school and also a running coach) and have never had a running-related injury. These shoes drastically changed my biomechanics to the point where the cartilage in my knee swelled up. I had to get a cortisone shot and run the race I'd been preparing for all fall and felt very uncomfortable. I took 2 weeks vacation, went to physical education classes. I just walked in a different pair of shoes and felt good. I wanted them to please me as a lot of the runners I coach swear by them, but I honestly can't recommend a shoe that has hurt me. I'm sending both pairs back. After all, foam is not durable. A piece came loose after one pass.
