Review on πŸ”Ί James King 1005-1 Red Warning Triangle Set by Mike Pfettscher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better warning triangles than some other brands.

Good quality for the price of these safety triangles. I specifically bought this set of James King 1005-1 Warning Triangles because they have stronger looking little plastic support legs on the ends of the triangles that help the unit resist being dropped. once adjusted and turned perpendicular to the weighted ground. Many of the other warning triangle kits available (e.g. Sate-Lite and Blazer) have small plastic feet that taper towards the end. Given that the support legs are just plastic tabs with no metal reinforcement, I prefer the fact that these legs/tabs don't taper to a point. The weighted floors are nice and heavy to keep these triangles in place even in gusts of wind when passing trailers at highway speeds. The bright orange triangles are easily visible from afar, while reflective patches make them even more visible at night. it's clear and what you're doing) so you can do it easily and intelligently when needed. The triangles themselves are plastic, and when I first practiced using them that afternoon, I noticed some pebbles unfolding one of the triangles. Opening it by force in the dark could potentially break the plastic. After learning how to open them when one of them gets stuck in the dark when trying to open it, I know how to pull it to open it without risking breaking something. After doing my due diligence and reading all the reviews I could find for all warning triangle sets available from numerous vendors/sites and sources, I read numerous reviews complaining about the red plastic box that the folded ones were in Contains triangles with some other options. I've seen more than one review of other brands warning triangle sets mentioning that the box/case that came with it was useless or deformed slightly if you just tried to lift the box with the triangles inside and the box couldn't be raised. close or remain closed after it is opened and the triangles are fetched for the first time. This is definitely NOT the experience I had with this set of James King 1005-1 warning triangles. While the included red plastic box containing 3 folded triangles isn't the most durable box (it's not a Pelican case), the box that came with this James King set was pretty sturdy, contrary to reviews of other warning triangle sets Triangles well when carrying them in a car and moving them from the trunk of one car to another without deforming, opening etc. I've also had no issues with the hinges or tabs that keep the box closed after trying all of them removed and inserted 3 triangles and then put them back in the box. The set offers great value for security and peace of mind. recommend buying a brightly reflective safety vest like this Neiko vest, http://www.amazon.com/Neiko-Visibility-Yellow-Zipper-Reflective/dp/B0030AA3YK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438236881&sr=8-1&keywords =neiko+protective vest and, very importantly, keep it within reach of the car. This allows you to put on your vest before stepping out of your car and be highly visible to motorists from outside the relative safety of your car. The last thing you want is to be hit by an inattentive motorist when you step out of your car to set up warning triangles. from these sets of warning triangles. I just read ALL the reviews I could find for all the kits available before deciding on this one and have come to the conclusion that they are not all the same and there are minor differences between them.
