Cools my laptop and me excellently. I used to feel a lot of heat on my legs from my laptop, but this not only keeps the laptop cool, it also keeps me from feeling that heat, so we're both happier. The USB port is larger than most, but it gives you a USB port on the back of the cooling pad's USB connector, so you don't lose a USB port when using it. It's so light and helps so much with cooling, and it's so cheap that it has virtually no downsides. The only complaint I might encounter is when I stand up, I'm used to grabbing my laptop by the front corner and lifting it - when I do this with the cooling pad and laptop together, the cooling pad shrinks, exposing the fan blades hit and stop, and then I nearly dropped the laptop while trying to relieve pressure on the cooling fan. It would be a big mistake to keep the cooling pad at the expense of my laptop. It takes a little more planning if you use this before getting up, but it's worth it.
