Are they comfortable? Yes. Extremely. Good design? Nothing special, but they seem solid. Mine have been on 4 hikes since my purchase in August 2019 and they are holding up well. are they ugly Something like that, but who gives @#$!. Will they last for you? It will depend. Daily use? My last pair lasted about two years and was worn every day. For camping/hiking (or just picking up weeds in the garden)? Probably forever. I certainly wouldn't wear these shoes on big runs or hikes, but as hiking or water shoes? Definitely! Will I be ashamed to wear Crocs? Yes. yes you will However, this trip. this sweet sweet trip! Let the Haters Hate.-edit- 2/20/2020These shoes are now my daily commute when I get home from work and I am very impressed with how well they hold up. The protector holds well, nothing falls apart. I'd like to get a fresh pair of shoes ONLY after the hike, but I don't think it's necessary.
