Not just for cars? We bought more than a dozen of these machines to test snow removal around aircraft engines and on wings. The retractable handle is great for reaching over the fender or the top of the hood. We have also removed deicing fluid from the intakes with a squeegee with great success. They worked great for an application they probably weren't intended for. The only downside is the locking mechanism on the handle extension. A simple rubber compression washer to keep the extension from moving, but I've seen the two pieces separate many times and it's quite difficult to get them together. But if you're aware of that limitation, this is a great tool for the price.
