I bought this PS Move controller to add to my PS Move kit so I can have two controllers. The PlayStation EYE picks up this controller very easily and my movements are accurately tracked. Since my old PS3 only has 2 USB ports, I had to buy a charging cradle to charge my PS Move controllers and my SIXAXIS™ controllers at the same time. If you don't want or need an external charging dock, the standard mini-USB cables that come with the system (or many other devices) will work just fine. My only complaint with this controller is that the glowing orb at the top (silly as it looks) doesn't feel very sturdy. It would be very easy to hit a pair of pants, a sofa, or any other object with a bullet, and it just seems like it's easily ripped off. This controller comes with a lanyard so it doesn't slip out of your hand or break anything and has rechargeable (non-removable) batteries. The controller was not charged when I received it. So expect to charge it a few hours before first use. The controller allows for plenty of playtime during use, but I have found that leaving the controller without a charger for a month or more drains the controller. If you have a PS Move system and want two player play or more realistic movement, a 2nd Move controller is essential. Hope that helps!
