This device is very accurate, I tested a 50g calibration weight and a known weight of 5kg. If you've ever looked inside this homemade kitchen scale, you'll know it's a bunch of circuits and boards - no real substance. That doesn't mean the device is bad, just that it's very, very light. So I guess handle it carefully and you'll be fine. But this is not a heavy scale, do not drop objects on it, do not drop it, do not exceed the weight limit. Because as I've learned the hard way, doing so can cause permanent damage to the "load cell", perhaps its most important component.
