Difficult to understand how to set it up for easy burning

Not as easy as traditional wax wicks for burning candles, I ended up sliding the wax wicks along the wooden wicks as I couldn't get the wooden wicks to stay burn they are just burned out before i had wooden wick candles and liked the crackling sound when burning but i couldn't get mine to burn like that so i send the standard wick candles to friends and family and leave the wooden one until i sort that out.
