First Time I used this kit to do the removing the link and shortening my wife's watch strap. When using one of the very small and thin Flathead tips, part of the tip broke off. Doesn't look like the tips are hardened. They are made of S2 steel, which is harder than vanadium steel but is prone to breakage. S2 steel is actually used in the manufacture of screwdriver bits. The material is therefore well suited for these tools. I can't say why part of the tip broke off, but it happened. The set includes a wide range of tips for most electronics and jewelry applications. The kit includes 66 bits, a driver pin and a very useful extension cable. Also included is a set of ESD tweezers specially designed for use in electronics. All this in a large case with a magnetic lid that keeps it securely closed. The body is compact, lightweight and very portable. As the tip breaks on first use I can't find much value in this set. I rate this set 3 stars.
