Overall I really liked them. I bought these for my daughter (7 years old) because she wanted to have curly hair every once in a while. They were pretty easy to use, the hook would pop out from time to time, but you could get it back without too much trouble. Different colors have different lengths, so you should take this into account when using them. I don't know how well they work if you have longer hair because some of my daughter's hair was sticking out an inch at the bottom. But all her hair is just on top where it's a bit longer. I'm glad I got the "big" package because I ran out of Newfield's rollers before I could get her hair done and had to redo some of them to make them work. We used her at night and at first she complained that she couldn't sleep well but when I asked her in the morning she said it was fine. It only took 75 seconds to pull them out, everyone just started pulling and they came out right away with no fuss. We will use them again in the future
