Review on ๐Ÿงค Auzilar Silicone Cooking Gloves: Heat Resistant BBQ Kitchen Oven Mitts for Grilling, Baking, and Barbecue by Jeff Remol

Flexible but not as heat resistant as I expected

I really like these gloves. They look huge but fit well (I have medium hands). The lining is thin so it doesn't add bulk. The silicone is very flexible and is easy to grip without feeling like the bulk is getting in the way of the grip. One trick I like is being able to place my gloved hand on the counter and easily pull my hand out - the silicone grips the counter. Then when I'm ready to put it back on, I just stick my hand right into the hole, it slides back in, and voila, I'm ready to go. Thanks to the loops, it's easy to hang it right next to my oven. One day I was surprised when I got warm. It built up slowly enough to give me time to set the pan down, but I wasn't expecting that. On another occasion, with a heavier slab that I was holding tighter, the heat dissipated faster and I had to quickly put it on the table. I didn't burn myself, I still had time to react. Maybe it's a trade-off for being thin enough to be nimble. However, this does not violate the terms of the contract. They are great and after using them for a couple of weeks I only felt warm twice. I am very happy that I received them. I got rid of all my other potholders.
