Simply not recommended for gamers. We have 2 other Linksys wireless products and have strong belief in their products. Our router (310N) and adapter (WUSB600N) work perfectly. The WGA600N gradually deteriorated to 1 out of 4 bars in the XBOX connection test. This happened in just 5.5 months from the date of purchase in late May 2009. The original game adapter was approximately 18 feet long. from the router without obstacles. Self-diagnostic tests typically showed a signal strength of 52-65%. We then moved the adapter within 10 feet. access point and the signal was still bad. After 3 long sessions with tech support, the adapter showed no improvement. As of yesterday, the adapter hasn't fully connected, despite its health indicators showing the opposite. Please note that all our other devices are working at top level. Our solution is a free device exchange. Unfortunately we have to pay the shipping bill to the returns center. There are other issues with accessing the admin pages. At best, this happened when the program loaded correctly. I hope this is a faulty device because I've never had so many problems with a wireless device. Otherwise, this adapter must be recycled. After countless hours of frustration, we purchased a proprietary wireless adapter for XBOX N. Spend a little more on wireless gaming and save yourself the headache. Plug and play sounds awfully good at the moment. The WGA600N replacement provided to us by Linksys is used as a backup or additional option for another gaming console. Can even use it for Dish Network DVR. Do yourself a favor and buy a special adapter for XBOX 360. Performance should be better. TO UPDATE. Wireless N Adapter for XBOX 360 exceeds all expectations. XBOX LIVE connection test shows 4 out of 4 bars. We also tested our wireless network card and it showed 100% signal strength. The physical distance between the router and the XBOX Wireless Adapter is approximately 18 feet with the devices being separated by a wall. So far we've enjoyed lag-free wireless gaming.
