For the first time, but I didn't know what to expect. They definitely had an odor when I opened them. No bad rot smell. Exactly what you would expect from a canned shrimp opening. They are closed with a pull tab and have a plastic lid that can be placed in the fridge. I'm definitely not sure about the taste because it's fish food and yeah I don't know!
