Why is it so hard to find an outlet without a surge protector!? This takes on the task of expanding the slave outlets on my eco-smart power strip (whereby turning off the master automatically cuts power to the slaves). When connecting power strips, be careful not to exceed the total capacity of the upstream units, and use downstream blind (non-surge-proof) units.
