I didn't realize how soft it would be when I first opened it up and put some on my dog's paw. my hand to massage it into the crevices of her pads. I didn't smell any. Easy to use. The dogs started licking it briefly after I put it on, but it didn't last long. I just think wetting the dog's paw pads will help with the dry skin that can happen. Especially in the wetter months. So far it has helped with the problem of foot licking.
