I bought this for one of my turtle tanks. It is very easy to use and very lightweight. I have it on top of the screen cover and I still used the two side metal slide mounts to hold it over the tank. The lighting is very easy to adjust, as in the examples of photos and videos. Each quick press changes the color from white to blue and then both mix (that's what I use). When you get the color you want, you can simply press and hold again to change the brightness/intensity of the light. If you decide to manually change the colors from day to night blue, you will have to do it manually each time. There is no program to set the lighting color for a certain time and then change it. These settings stay locked which is great because I use a timer and we always have power outages so I don't have to keep resetting my settings. But as I mentioned above, it is one lighting color at a time.
