I love my Merrells - Women's
I usually wear 8s or 8.5s. I bought them for 8.5 and they are ok. Now they fit well but have enough room for heavy hiking socks. I also have this style in boots and love them. Great hold, great grip, great comfort. I have a sore knee so I know right away if I need cushioning. I wanted a low cut for summer and got a hell of a deal on the GTX style. My hikes tend to be infrequent, maybe 5-6 miles at a time, with regular 2-3 mile walks on our local green trails, so I need good support and traction, but I don't need $400 hiking shoes.
