Review on πŸ”Œ White HDMI Wall Plate - Cable Matters 2-Pack with 4K UHD, ARC, and Ethernet Pass-Thru Support by Louis Asok

Works great for my setup although I don't need 4k or HDR.

Purchased: Cable Matters 2-Pack 2-Port HDMI Wall Panel White (Supports 4K UHD, ARC, and Ethernet Pass-Thru) Overview: Works great, looks great, easy to install. I can't speak about 4k/HDR as we don't have 4k/HDR media devices. That being said, most of the bad reviews I see don't specify what cable or what length of cable they use in the wall, so I'm hesitant to say the panel "doesn't work" for 4k/60fps. My very short run ended up in the bedroom and I had to use a 35ft cable that doesn't support 4k@60FPS. I think any CL3 cable you can find that supports 4k @ 60FPS has a max length of 25ft (and that's risky at that length). Given the high bandwidth required for 4k, you really should place these devices as close to your TV or projector as possible. Even if you're just climbing up the wall underneath the TV, I'd assume your entire setup will require around 10 feet of cable. Most recommendations for 4k/60fps/HDR state that cable lengths shouldn't be more than 3-6 feet, so plug these panels plus three extra cables between all your devices you're already using (plus lots of connectors that struggle can cause). ). TL ;DR: It's all about bandwidth. Longer cables cause losses and reduce the usable bandwidth (high frequency losses). I wouldn't recommend wall cymbals for 4k @ 60FPS unless you're talking about a very short wall run. Make sure not all your cables are dirty with the XBOX 360 Days. First of all: always check your setup before installation.
