This idea looks a lot better than the other one which is balanced on the thin inside of the pressure cap. It looks a lot easier to install the lid without being able to damage the lid. First of all I would like to tell you that due to an accident I am blind in one eye and therefore have no depth perception. That's one of the reasons I like this lid holder more than any other on the market. This holder allows me to close my eyes and fit the lid into the holder instead of trying to fit a tiny notch in the holder with a thin piece of the lid. I could balance the lid on a ledge instead of a notch, rock it, and knock it out. Even if it was in a notch, the lack of depth perception meant I could hit the lid and twist the small piece of metal on the lid. In any case, the silicone on this holder ensures that the lid is not damaged. Easy placement in the bracket. Even if I accidentally bump into it, it won't fall and damage the lid. It's very solid. And finally, even if it's not advertised, you have the perfect place to put your tongs or spoon when not in use (see picture), definitely 5 stars.
