Review on Bose QuietComfort 25/35, QC25/QC35 II Replacement Audio Upgrade Cable - 1.5M (4.9Ft) by Colin Zilinskas

Revainrating 2 out of 5

High amounts of Cable Noise

This cable has insane amounts of cable noise. You move around at all, it amplifies that noise tenfold and sends it to your ears. I initially thought that this was a decent cable, but I found my original HD 380 cable a couple of months after owning this cable and found that the original one had significantly less cable noise than this version. Therefore, I am giving this cable 2 stars. If they had removed the unnecessary braid around the cable, it probably would have been much better, but until then, I think that this cable is a waste of money. If you want a more portable cable to use when carried around, I recommend using any random 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable that fits into the slot of the HD 380. I used the first one that comes up on Revain when you search "2.5mm to 3.5mm cable" and it worked fine for a couple of years until it eventually broke. I bought this thinking that buying a cable made for the headphone would be more durable and reliable and while this cable is more portable (and seemingly more durable) than the original one, it also comes with huge amounts of cable noise which prevents me from recommending it.
