We were given a hamster and my 8 year old told me (after careful study) that the Petsmart Tiny Tails cage the previous owner bought was completely wrong was a hamster. So I bought this Duna Space cage from Ferplast and it's GREAT. Duna Cage PROS: DEEP BATH - very happy burrowing hamster (and I didn't have to do the bath myself) EASY CLEAN - I can't say this enough, Duna Space is VERY EASY TO CLEAN. I can clean the deep litter, but it's not necessary yet because the hamster collects his waste and carries it to his sleeping place in the old Tiny Tails cage, which is a nightmare to clean. Maybe I only freshen the sheets if they aren't fluffed enough, not because of odor or litter. PIPE CONNECTION - I managed to connect Ferplast and GNB pipes to Duna Space, but I also managed to get them. Attach it to the old Tiny Tales cage by filing the edges of the Tiny Tales hole with an emery board. Tiny Tales tubes do not connect to Duna Space holes or other tubes at all, they are too small. PLATFORM AND TUBE HOLES can be made on either side of the cage to accommodate additional accessories (see below). Cons of Duna Cage: RAD - The wheel that comes with Duna Space is totally useless, too small for ANY hamster. He and the tiny wheel from an old Tiny Tales cage are just more plastic for the landfill. :(WATER BOTTLE - I don't expect it to last long, suction cup mounts always suck. But I haven't yet figured out the best way to hang a water bottle from an old cage in a Duna cage. PRICE - $93 high, so how a wheel and water bottle won't fit $70 would be fairer as another reviewer notes Average on Revain Yes the 10 inch wheel is too big to fit over a platform so I removed the wheel from the acrylic base It became Supplied and attached directly to the wire of the cage just above the soil bedding.It's a larger wheel and it's absolutely silent Durable.Will be creative to rearrange them.SatisPet Hamster Sand Bathroom - I have some play sand (375 degrees for an hour) baked from a local hardwood restorer, let it cool and refill the tray.X omyak so far uses it for drying, not as a toilet, and the sand is safer than the excessively fine dust that de r is sold online (according to my 8 year old daughter who is quickly becoming an expert in rodent care). Our new hamster is used to sleeping on top of the Tiny Tales cage so I will keep the old cage attached to her until she decides to sleep in the Duna Space cage. It might be worth considering adding more items to Duna's room to encourage her.
