Review on Chaco Women's Zvolv Sandal: Comfortable and Stylish Medium Women's Shoes by Sean Bouchard

This new Chaco really is better than ever! My first pair of Chacos was bought in 2000. This original couple was excellent! The sandals lasted 10 years with moderate use and still looked new. No outsole wear. These sandals were worn on hikes, when working in the forest service and then in the summer in the sea etc. So they were worn. Why am I saying this? In/up to after 10 years the trunk was peeling off due to my carelessness (sandals were in the trunk of my heated car for months). So in 2010 I had to buy a new pair, which I did. By this point Chacos were no longer made in the US but in China and my new pair looked nothing like the original. I bought a pair of toe straps that didn't adjust. Disgusted, I threw them away after a few months and threw the blisters in the trash. Let's fast forward today. I decided to give them another chance now that Chaco had a new sole that wasn't a Vibram sole (much lighter from what I've heard). Also, I'm tired of wearing dirty sneakers on the hikes. I was planning on trying on this new pair and returning them if they don't fit. I can tell you how pleasantly surprised I was! New sandals more than deliver.1. The new sole is much lighter than the Vibram sole so I can wear it all day right out of the box. No break in period.3. The belts fit me straight away. It only took me a few minutes to find the perfect fit.4. Worn all day and my foot felt great! I have an injury that hasn't fully healed (broke my ankle 6 months ago) but these sandals have really enabled me to run and walk all day with no discomfort at the end of the day. This is huge for me! 6. The only slightly annoying issue is the strap. Slightly hanging at the back. I just folded it under the straps. I can ask someone who has a good sewing machine to shorten them for me. Otherwise these sandals are perfect. Let's see if this pair lasts me 10 years. That's it, I believe in Chacos again and can now recommend them. I still wish they were made in the USA and maybe they will be made again.
