I had a foster cat that had chronically bloody and soft stools for several months. He was only a few months old when this happened and we were treating him with every dewormer, antibiotic and probiotic available. The specialist has determined that he has colitis and we need a high fiber or low waste diet. We tried several prescription and over-the-counter brands and this was the only brand the kitten ate and improved her bowel movements. The stool became hard and the blood seemed to have disappeared. This is a good choice when trying to find food for a sensitive stomach. However, after several months of using this product, another vet said that new studies are emerging stating that a grain-free diet is no longer appropriate for our pets.
