A few weeks ago I replaced the original showerhead with this one. This is a big improvement in both versatility (it has three spray positions) and efficiency. The original (7 years old) was probably a bit calcified and limited. The water pressure here is "normal" at around 45psi, so there was no need to remove the flow restrictor in the showerhead - it creates a lot of flow without wasting water. I would buy it again and recommend it. Removing an old showerhead can be a challenge. Don't twist it with a wrench - if you break or rip the showerhead off, your entire weekend will be filled with tedious repairs. Run some cold water through the shower for 2-3 minutes, then heat the outside of the old threaded shower faucet with a lighter or flashlight for 10-20 seconds. The difference in contraction/expansion between the cold interior and the hot exterior often separates them enough to be removed. While holding the neck, turn the key in the opposite direction. Teflon tape is included - clean, then wrap the threads of the shower head 3-4 turns against the direction of the threads and put on the new shower head "tightly".
