What I like about Kwikset locks: I prefer Kwikset handles to others because they fully unlock when you open them with the key. If you take the key in and then walk out the door again, the door will NOT close behind you. That's a very good thing! Many doorknobs, including the Schlage, let you open with a key, but if you don't turn the latch knob manually, the door will close behind you. I also like the smart key feature which allows you to lock pre-existing keys and keep all matches. I ordered this door knob from Amazon because I couldn't get an antique brass finish anywhere else. But what about a handle that eventually becomes so that it doesn't quite turn the trap anymore? This is the third pen starting this edition. I have the same locks and handles on four of my doors and I don't want to replace them all but this is getting ridiculous. It still works, but now the door can only be opened by turning the handle to the left. If I turn it all the way to the right, the door won't open. The latch just isn't depressed enough. When it was new, it turned easily in any direction.
