Some folks said it was loud and some said it was not. I bought it - and yes - it is very loud and I'm not sure why it needs to be so loud. Those that say it isn't loud are clearly almost deaf! WE can't hear the TV in the kitchen with it going. But I am pleased with the foods. Chicken wings are really good - but I won't be using the basket anymore, it is hell to clean! Takes me about 30 mins of soaking it - and a brush to get all the pieces of chicken out from the holes. So I'd rather put wings on the tray and turn them myself half way thru. It makes great pork chops and reg. size chicken. I cook half way and turn them over. I replaced my toaster oven with this and I do miss the toaster oven a lot - because it had a "Toast" button - so we could throw bread in there and it cut off when it was done. This thing - you have a LOT of buttons to push to figure out what temp you want , then it is pre-set for like 15 mins or something - so you have to push, push push button to set it to 3 mins - and you have to watch it closely. My husband can't figure it out and he complains all the time - how he misses the old toaster oven where he put 2 pieces of bread in - pushed 2 slices of toast and start! And they were perfect. But he can't figure out how to get this thing on and which buttons to push - just for toast. But I don't want the air fryer and toaster oven taking up kitchen space. So if I don't do his toast for him - he will just eat plain bread. It states it is a toaster oven, air fryer - but sure would be nice if the noise was cut in half - and it had a quick "Toaster" button for those that are technology lacking. Also - love love doing bacon in this thing. My old way doing it in a pan - had splatters of grease everywhere & pan full. Now - the mess is confined to the air fryer. So saving my cabinets and all around the stove and floor. Clean up is easy - I keep tin foil on the bottom solid tray, so I just replace the tin foil with clean, the rack with holes is so easy and I wipe out the sides and door and I"m done. So I give doing bacon, chops, wings, grilled cheese sandwiches - 5 stars.
