Reading the reviews before purchasing, many people said the sticks are not individually wrapped, which I actually find to be preferable as I use them to put wet cat food in bowls. With spoons, the food sticks to the curved part of the spoon so it's either wasted or I use something else to scoop up the wet cat food. This flat surface is great for banging food against the sides of the bowl (to help my cats eat more slowly). In any case, it would be nice if they were used, but that's okay too. They're a bit small for my purposes (I was looking for flat wooden spoons when I stumbled across them), but kids would love to use them when eating ice cream. I didn't want plastic and I'm happy with that.
