Review on Canon PowerShot G16: 12.1 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom, 1080p Full-HD Video, and Wi-Fi Connectivity by Major Lindsay

I had three G Series Powershots, 30D and 70D; and the G16 is the best powershot. It has a very sharp lens; and its processor is so fast that sometimes I thought I hadn't taken a picture and it was on the memory card. And it still hasn't made me miss the 30D or 70D. The G16 handles children's shots just as well as the 70D, with comparable results. And it comes with a greatly improved AUTO mode. For many years I wanted a camera that spared me the aperture, aperture and technical rules that some photographers demand. But Canon has steadily improved AUTO mode, to the point where the G16 can be whatever you want it to be: manual, automatic, or anything in between, and not miss a beat. And he's small! Not as small as the S95, but almost. My advice is to take what reviewers say with a grain of salt. The seeker may not be a gift from God to Ansel Adams, but it works; he's right; and you'll be glad you got it in bright sunshine. When the reviewer doesn't find anything to really complain about to add "balance" to their rating, they focus on things like the viewfinder or the fact that the G16 doesn't have a fold-out LCD screen. If you take a lot of photos on your knees, this can come in handy; but trust me this is a great camera, well built and solid; will travel well; and make you proud of the photos you take.
