I have become more aware of plastic waste because my teenage daughter has become environmentally conscious over the last year and I really admire her dedication and am so proud of her and her generation. I started by getting rid of the plastic straws and reusable straws I keep in my various bags and pockets and decided to buy drinks in cans or bottles whenever possible. Now this one. I like to take homemade (fresh or frozen) smoothies to work in these pouches and don't have the extra weight and bulk to carry with me after washing. It is flat and does not take up space. Seals well. There are no leaks yet. Straws are a nice bonus. They were also used to transport dry snacks. Pour a dozen Brita water for the downstairs fridge instead of drinking from plastic water bottles and feel good about not adding plastic waste. Will also recommend a friend to pre-fill and freeze margaritas and daiquiris in the summer as she likes to have fun. It is enough to share it with friends and colleagues to keep the ripple effect. :)
