I was very surprised at how divided the bike lube industry was. In fact, there is no clear consensus on what type of lubricant to use and where to use it. Lots of marketing claims, but they need to be treated with a grain of salt. Anyway, White Lightning seems to be an established brand so I bought this tub to use anywhere on my bike, bearings, pedals, bottom bracket, works. It turns out to be a really good general purpose lube. It's not too thin or too thick and it's good enough quality that I can use it to lubricate any type of bearing on a bike. Another nice thing is that the lube isn't that sticky on your hands and you can wipe it off easily. switch off and have clean hands. Definitely a bonus if you're trying not to pollute the planet with used plastic gloves.
